As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by our sensation of touch. In the movie Amelie when she dips her hand into sacks of grain for the simple pleasure, I can relate to that. I have also cultivated a deep concern for the wellbeing of others as long as I can remember. When I was only 10 my great grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. I was the only female in the family that could bathe her. I had figured out how to calm her enough to accept the care.

I have always been in the helping professions. In high school I was a candy striper and also volunteered at a local nursing home providing pet therapy. I went to the animal shelter and found a dog to take to the home for a few hours. Seeing the elderly patients come alive, I was transformed. I went on to become a geriatric social worker and certainly did make a difference but I found that desk work was not for me. I made the decision to attend the Pittsburgh School for Massage Therapy in 2014 and remain incredibly grateful for my career in bodywork.

The personal growth in this profession feels never ending as our knowledge of the body continues to expand. I strive to provide current and evidence based treatment for chronic and accute pain. I am currently continuing my education in structural integration, corrective exercise and myofascial work.

Above all massage is a listening practice. I often joke that I have ears in my hands, feet, fingers. I will always listen to you. Massage is not just something you receive, it is an art we create together.
